Illinois Vintners Host a Winter Wine Festival at their Annual Conference

Come Chill with us!

What better way to tour the state's wineries than at an indoor, cozy Winter Wine Festival? Taste your way through the offerings of more than twenty Illinois wineries while experimenting with different food and wine pairings. Enjoy the soul and blues-influenced tunes provided by Brooke Thomas and the Blue Suns. Spend the night at one of the best hotels in Springfield and have the Crowne Plaza's top amenities at your fingertips.

The Festival begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 31st. Entrance to the festival is $15 per person which includes 7 tasting tickets if purchased in advance and 5 tasting tickets if purchased at the door. Food stations will be presented by suggested wine pairing. For example, beef ravioli and carved top rounds of beef will be featured at a station labeled "Try with a dry red." We will also be distributing Enologist Bradley Beam's handout on Illinois varietals and suggested food pairings. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased for $1 per ticket. Wineries will provide a 1 ounce sample of wine for each tasting ticket presented. You may also purchase wine by the glass, bottle, and case directly from the vintners. Bottles may be opened at the festival.

Ticket price is $15 per person which includes a commemorative wine glass and 5 tasting tickets.

Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Relax and spend the night!

A discounted block of rooms have been reserved at the Crowne Plaza Springfield for your convenience. To reserve, please call (217) 529-7777 and reference the IL Grape Growers block.
